» Hugh Taylor - Scotland Best for Mountain Biking

It is of course best for a whole lot of other things as well but the cycling networks, I have to agree, are awesome. I am fortunate in living slap bang in the middle of then 7Stanes. I can drive to three of them within half an hour. Someday I may even get up the courage to try the seriously hairy sections.

I've never been to Scotland, but when I was traveling in Austria and we went biking through the Alps and it was amazing. I was on a Contiki tour and we stopped in a small town called Hopfgarten. Our group rented bikes and biked all day. It was amazing!
